The San Diego Continuing Education’s Project Management Certificate Program is dynamic and constantly adapting. Curriculum improvements are an ongoing focus. Based on input from students, the Microsoft® Project® instruction was recently reorganized.
Also, several supplemental project management classes in San Diego, CA, have been added to the program. You too can become an active member of the PMCP Alumni Network by submitting suggestions for improving the program.
The San Diego Continuing Education’s Project Management Certificate Program is dynamic and constantly adapting.
The Capstone project is a critical part of the PMCP. Each student is assigned to a group which must select a realistic project to plan, track and manage from conception to completion.
As the program comes to a close, each group presents its project to the class and a panel of industry professionals and alumni. They have the opportunity to:
- Plan a project
- Assign tasks
- Create timelines
- Map critical paths
- Present the plan to “management”
Although many students enter the program with a fear of public speaking, virtually all of them complete the program with a sense of accomplishment.
If you are interested in joining our Curriculum Improvement Committee and would like to sit in as a panelist in future Capstone presentations, we invite you to contact our team online or call (619) 388-1800 for more information. We look forward to meeting you.
"The PMCP program at the San Diego Continuing Education Center was a great course. My instructors, Ray and Dave, are extremely knowledgeable and possess extensive experience in Project Management. They kept the class engaged and motivated throughout the entire course."Jayden J.
